High-Performance Computing Cluster
A High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster operated by the Department of IT Infrastructure offers ample resources for high resolution, large scale simulations and big data processing. The HPC cluster “hemera” comprises a total of 271 compute nodes, 60 of them attached with GPUs, with a theoretical computing power of approx. 2,85 PFlop/s. The HPC resources at HZDR can be easily accessed using ssh or via web-based interactive services for data analyses.
